Seen is Winterthur's third city district and lies to the south-east, where the city turns into the Töss valley. It feels like its own village and still has its own railway station — if you do not want to choose between town and country, this is the place for it.

Getting around

The S26 leaves Winterthur Seen every half hour towards Winterthur and into the Töss valley. Once an hour the S11 stops as well, taking you to Zurich HB without changing and on to Dietikon and Aarau. If you prefer the bus, trolleybus route 2 and bus route 9 both terminate in Seen — you board an empty bus and get a seat. There is an Avec in the station building for whatever you forgot on the way home.

Our rooms on Landvogt-Waser-Strasse

The available rooms are on Landvogt-Waser-Strasse, in the established part of Seen between the station and the local centre. A residential street with no through traffic. The rooms are ready to live in: a large bed with a new mattress, wardrobe, desk, chair, shelf, lamps and curtains are already there. Washing machine and dryer are in the building, and your bike goes indoors.

What you get here and not in the centre or Kollbrunn

The compromise that actually works. Seen is the only one of our locations where you get quiet and a railway station at the same time — and one with a direct connection to Zurich at that.

• Compared to the city centre: In the evening you hear neither pub nor traffic, and you pay around 50 francs less. The Eschenberg forest with the Bruderhaus wildlife park is on your side of the city. In return the old town is seven minutes by train or a bus ride away.
• Compared to Kollbrunn: You are still inside the city of Winterthur — shorter commute, city registration, city bus network. In return you pay around 110 francs more.

Who Seen suits

If you work during the week and want to get out at the weekend without travelling somewhere first, this is your place. Trains into the Töss valley for hiking leave from your own station. The people in our flats here are adults who work or study; you share kitchen and bathroom with two or three of them.

Our rooms in Seen start at CHF 810 a month, utilities included. One amount per month, no back payment in spring, no debt collection extract, and you choose between 14 and 30 days notice when you sign.

The rooms in Seen are approved for official residence, weekly residence included. To register with the City of Winterthur you need your rental contract — you receive it from us when we hand over the keys, signed and in your name.
