If you like staying in bed ten minutes longer, the city centre is your neighbourhood. You walk to the main station — no bus, no connection, no watching the clock. From there you reach Zurich HB in a little over twenty minutes, at peak times a train leaves roughly every four minutes, and the airport is a quarter of an hour away without changing.

Two settings, one centre

Our rooms are on Langgasse and Obergasse in the middle of the old town, plus Bleichestrasse, Zürcherstrasse and Bürglistrasse in the belt around the station. They feel different. In the old town lanes you live above shops and pubs: everything on your doorstep, and life under your window on a Saturday night. Around the station it is more sober and quieter, and you are still on the platform within minutes. Tell us which you prefer in your request and we will only show you what fits.

What you get here and not in Seen or Kollbrunn

Your evenings. In the centre you never have to watch for the last train — you walk home. If you live spontaneously, are out a lot or work shifts, that is the one advantage no cheaper room makes up for.

• Compared to Seen: You save the trip to the station and have shops, cinema and pubs at your door. In return it is louder, and you only reach the forest after a bus ride.
• Compared to Kollbrunn: You are everywhere about ten minutes sooner and need no train ticket for a night out. In return you pay around 160 francs more a month.

Who the centre suits

The ZHAW School of Management and Law sits directly north of the main station, a walk of a few minutes — for students the centre is unbeatable. The same goes for anyone commuting to Zurich: fifteen minutes saved each way adds up to well over a hundred hours across a working year. Our flats house adults between 25 and 55 who work or study; you share kitchen and bathroom with two or three people, and the shared areas are cleaned regularly at no extra cost.

What it costs

Our rooms in the city centre start at CHF 860 a month. That is the highest price we charge, around 50 francs above Seen and 160 above Kollbrunn. In return you pay no utilities on top, need no travel pass within the city, and are home ten minutes after leaving. Washing machine and dryer are in the building, and there is bicycle parking.

You can register your residence here

All our rooms in the city centre are approved for official residence, weekly residence included. To register with the City of Winterthur you need your rental contract — you receive it from us when we hand over the keys, signed and in your name. With that you go straight to the residents' registration office.
